Who better to tell us stories about the earliest days of Disneyland than original Disneyland Imagineer, Bob Gurr?
Bob Gurr was hired by Walt Disney himself in 1954 to work on the bodies of the Autopia cars for Walt’s ambitious theme park, Disneyland. Little did Bob know that he was just beginning a long and storied career with the Disney Company. His time at Disney was full of wonderful stories, incredible imaginations, and unrivaled creativity.
Bob had the amazing opportunity to work side by side with Walt Disney for twelve years. He designed and built attractions including the Disneyland (and Walt Disney World) Monorail System, the Matterhorn, the Peoplemover, the Omnimover System including the Haunted Mansion vehicles, and many, many more!
