Claude Coats was an artist, background artist, animator and set designer, known for his work with the Walt Disney Animation Studios and Walt Disney Imagineering.
Hired by Walt Disney in 1935, Claude worked on Disney Classics like Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Pinocchio, Cinderella, and many more! In 1955 he was appointed by Walt Disney to WED Enterprises, which would later be known as Walt Disney Imagineering, to work on Disneyland. Claude had an incredible career that spanned over 50 years with the Disney Company alone!
Claude’s son, Alan (who followed in his dad’s footsteps and also worked as a Disney Imagineer), and author and former Disney Animator Dave Bossert join me this week to talk all about their brand new book about the life and career of Disney Legend, Claude Coats.
