Meet the AquaDuck. A 765-foot, transparent water tube that lets you fly through the air above either the Disney Dream or Disney Fantasy ships.
Dare ye not to believe in magic after riding *this* ride.
A feat of unprecedented Imagineering, this incredible and unique water “coaster” slide circles one whole deck and even propels you off the side of the ship!
Suspended high in the air, you get an ocean view for miles while riding dips and twists of joy before landing in a lazy river.
DISNEY CRUISE SECRET: You can even ride the AquaDuck after the sun goes down for a different perspective and a lower wait time.
TINKERBELL TIP: The AquaDuck shuts down if there’s inclement weather, so don’t wait till the end of your trip to try it out if that’s your jam because it’s incredible!
Delicious Disney Cruise Food

Best Disney Cruise Restaurants
Palo
The adult-only dining options are all sophisticated, highly sought-after treats for the young-at-heart, but Palo is the Italian option that the biggest draw for most people.
Tiana’s Place (on Disney Wonder)
You can’t go wrong with the live jazz, lovely stories, and Louisiana-inspired specialties at the Princess and the Frog-inspired Tiana’s Place.
Dedicated Variety For Every Age Group
Same Disney magic. Different Disney pastimes.
Disney Cruises are some of the few places in the world created, down to every detail, for the equal pleasure of adults and kids alike.
Sure you have nightclubs and lounges, but you also have reserved tea parties and impressive youth clubs for 3-12 yr olds.
It’s no surprise that there are spas onboard a cruise line – and who else but Disney would have an adults-only spa (18+), a teenagers-only spa (13-17), and both a Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique and Pirate’s League to make sure everyone in your party is properly pampered and groomed?
You can walk around most of the ship carrying both alcohol and free ice cream.
And that’s only the beginning!
Whether you revel in the onboard offerings or top up with a bunch of port adventures, there are more hilarious, meditation-inducing, breathtaking, silly, and scrumptious offerings for every age than you can even fit into one trip.
The kids’ selection is impressive – overflowing with dress-up rooms, animation labs, craft compilations, cooking classes, and so much more.
As Jiminy Cricket taught us, let your conscience be your guide on this one. And, of course, let the sky be the limit.
Disney Cruise Prices
Cost depends on all the following options available to you:
- Length of the cruise (2-13 days)
- Number of people (including wheelchair accessible at all price points)
- Room type (10 varieties)
- Destination (17 places)
- Additional Port Adventures (virtually unlimited possibilities)
The starting cost for a Disney cruise is around $180 – $600, per person, per day.
Here’s an example of a pricing breakdown for a Disney cruise:
The price of a 5-day cruise from Miami to the Bahamas (including a couple of days at Castaway Cay) for 2 adults and 2 kids in a room with an ocean view but not a balcony, totals: $4,102. That’s barely over $200/person/day.
The price per day goes down the longer the cruise, of course, and goes up for a bit more space and extra amenities.
Sure, the price tag can go to $58k for the longest trip + most expensive destination + a concierge room – but they are most often not available because they book up so quickly.
When you’re creating your budget, remember to factor in additional funds for airfare, souvenirs, internet, any extra adventures at the port, services on the ship, and gratuity at the end.
Disney Cruise Rooms
Innovative and relaxing, no expense was spared in designing living quarters with the whole family in mind.
You’ll find spacious accommodations, a dedicated sitting area, a private bathroom, privacy curtains, extra storage space, a refrigerator, a lockable safe, wheelchair accessible rooms, usually a sleeper sofa and a pull-down bunk, and more.
There are ten types of rooms in four overall categories on each Disney ship:
- Concierge Staterooms
- Concierge Royal Suite
- Concierge one-bedroom suites
- Concierge two-bedroom suites or concierge family oceanview with verandah
These are the premium staterooms – most spacious with the most amenities.
- Verandah Staterooms
- Deluxe Family
- Deluxe
- Deluxe Navigator View
These have a private, open-air balcony.
- Oceanview Staterooms
- Deluxe Family
- Deluxe
Featuring one or two portholes to catch the sunsets.
- Inside Staterooms
- Deluxe
- Standard
These base-level options are head and shoulders, (and a couple of mouse ears), above any other cruise lines.
Disney Cruise Door Decorations
Don’t forget one of the most important and delightful aspects of a Disney vacation: personalization!
Magnetic decorations can snazzy up your stateroom door on a Disney cruise.
It’s not required, but why not have an easier time spotting your room and have fun bedazzling your door with your name, your favorite character, or a special memento!
So if you’re looking for a cute way to reveal the trip plans to your little ones or give a gift to the friends who are coming with you, here are some awesome possibilities:
Buy The Bling
There is a vast assortment of adorable Disney door delights that range from hilarious to romantic, as bubbly or as subtle as you want to have, welcoming you into your home away from home.
Search Out Some Printables
If you’ve run out of time to order something personalized for your cruise or you don’t want to shell out the extra dough for door bedecking, you can still get in on all the fun.
Search out the tons of free – or cheap – designs for Disney Cruise Door Decor, then print at home straight to magnetic paper.
Or simply print to paper, laminate, attach magnets, and ta-da!

Use any simple, free design software (like Canva) and use Pinterest boards like this inspiring one to jumpstart your creativity and find your own brilliant idea.
(Tinkerbell Tip: a few of the concierge staterooms have doors that are wooden and can’t have anything taped onto them, so for the most up-to-date restrictions info click here.)
Why Take A Disney Cruise?
Don’t just sail; have an experience that you’ll never forget, with the comfort and magic of Disney Cruise Lines and their world-class amenities.
Celebrate A Special Occasion
Even the most mundane days feel special when you’re on a cruise surrounded by the wonder of Mickey, so why not make the extra special days feel even more epic and extend into more than one day!
Want to swim with dolphins for your birthday? Want to learn how to cook pasta in a medieval castle in Tuscany on your anniversary? Horseback riding, parasailing, ziplining, submarine tours… anything your heart desires will come to you on a Disney cruise.
You can even get married at sea, just like Princess Ariel and Prince Eric…
Have A Disney Cruise Wedding…
It’s Romantic. You can get married aboard your Disney ship or on Castaway Cay (with you and your guests ferried back and forth to a special, out-of-the-way location) then enjoy a cake and champagne celebration after the ceremony.
It’s Extraordinary. Savor the style and splendor of the elaborate themes and unique experiences that no one else can create as well as Disney. Exotic destinations, daring sword-fights, maybe even a prince in disguise, can all be yours.
It’s Uncomplicated. There’s a special package with spoil-yourself bonuses that can save you the muss and fuss that other wedding parties have to deal with. You and your one true love won’t have to worry about a thing (except perhaps deciding which tiara goes best with your shoes).
…Or A Disney Cruise Honeymoon!
You and your sweetheart deserve the very best that money can buy when celebrating your own fairytale story.
Even if you want to be completely alone in a quiet, cozy bubble of love, a Disney honeymoon cruise can provide that and have you feeling like a prince or princess in no time (remember there’s 24-hour room service included and plenty of relaxing places for 18+ only).
Disney cruises book up quicker than you can sing go on and kiss the girl – so, go on and reserve your stateroom today.

Disney Magic
Disney Wonder
Disney Dream
Disney Fantasy
… and the newest: Disney Wish!
Disney Land and Sea
It’s the ultimate surf and turf of vacations.
Why not extend, explore, exploit the opportunity of being so close to both Walt Disney World and the open sea by enjoying both?
You shouldn’t have to choose between them. As the newsies would say, seize the day!
There isn’t an explicit Disney “land & sea” special discount at this time. But by combining a Disney cruise with a trip to Walt Disney World (or Disneyland if you don’t mind the drive between Orange County and San Diego) you do save on airfare because you’re there already. Plus Ear To There Travel can help you find any available theme park specials.

Castaway Cay
A private island and paradise refuge: Disney’s Castaway Cay.
Most Bahaman and Caribbean cruises make port at this little spot of heaven that you’re not going to want to miss.
Things To Do
Similar to life on any of the Disney cruise ships, you’ll never tire of the beauty or run out of activities to enjoy on Castaway Cay.
Every age group from Moana to Captain Jack Sparrow will love it here, playing and relaxing areas dedicated to their maximum enjoyment.
There’s a complimentary barbeque when you land. Suit up for some snorkeling. Play in the waterslides. Chill on the beach with a book like Belle or sun on the shore like a mermaid.
Ride trams around the island, take advantage of the unique shopping, keep your telescope trained for sightings of more of your favorite Disney characters or rent a boat to enjoy some more personalized cruising on the clear waves.
Relax in the Castaway Cay Cabanas
Rather than toting heavy bags of towels, chairs, umbrellas, and more, the Castaway Cay Cabanas make your day effortlessly blissful.
However, they are difficult to come by unless you are a Platinum Castaway Cay Member or booking the Concierge Level State Room on your cruise.
There are very few of them (about 25 total) and they can be found at the Private Family Beach or the adults-only area of Serenity Bay.
Cost can range from $650-$1,000, depending on the time of year and the number of people sharing the cabana.
They’re worth it if you normally rent equipment because the equipment is included, along with:
- Food
- Cool drinks
- Comfy chairs & hammocks
- Toys
- Sunscreen
- Safety deposit box
If they’re not available because they book up fast, there are free towels, umbrellas, and lounge chairs you can still obtain to snag your own relaxing piece of paradise.
Run the Castaway Cay 5k
A completely-free, only-accessible-via-Disney-Cruise, spectacular 3.1-mile tour around the private island for runners and walkers alike.
Get the most breathtaking views of the island by disembarking before the rest of the ship. Get in some exercise or just some good fun regaining your land legs.
Anyone visiting Castaway Cay who is 10+ yrs old can sign-up to participate and get a free racing bib and medal at the end. Kids younger than 10 are allowed to join their folks if you wish, they just won’t get the medal.
Want to kick it up a notch? Pair your runDisney Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend with a Disney cruise to the Bahamas and complete the Castaway Cay Challenge in style. Bragging rights acquired!
Rally The Troops For Some Castaway Cay Excursions
Ready for a port adventure on Castaway Cay?
You’ve got bike rentals, floats, and kayaks available. Do yoga or explore the walking paths. The time at Castaway Cay alone is worth the price of a Disney cruise.
