So you’ve never been to the Walt Disney World Resort before? First, I need to ask you, what have you been waiting for?! Only kidding! Walt Disney World is truly a wonderful family vacation destination, and you will probably try to do it all on your first WDW trip. Take it from someone who has been there and has, quite literally, done it all…it won’t be possible to see every show and ride every attraction on your first trip (unless of course your first trip consists of a month long stay!). Here’s a list of my “Can’t Miss” attractions in each park:
Disney’s Animal Kingdom
Kilimanjaro Safaris – The quintessential attraction at Disney’s Animal Kingdom is the one you absolutely can’t skip on your first trip. Bring your camera, as you are guaranteed some fantastic views of hippos, giraffes, rhinos, lions, and more. Make sure to say “Jambo” to your safari driver and the other cast members you encounter on your “two week” safari!
Expedition Everest – Imagine scaling Mount Everest in Nepal and searching for the elusive Yeti. Now imagine something goes wrong and your vehicle starts rushing down the tracks to escape certain doom. Disney’s Expedition Everest places you right in the middle of the Himalayas on an unforgettable thrill ride through the storied mountains!
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Twilight Zone Tower of Terror – From the moment you step into the creepy queue until the second you step out of your attraction vehicle, you are immersed in the world of the Hollywood Tower Hotel in the year 1939. The Tower of Terror is Disney at it’s absolute best (and spookiest), so make sure to “drop in” on this amazing attraction on your first (or next) trip.
Rock & Roller Coaster – Imagine a super stretch limousine that can go from 0 to 60 mph in a blink of an eye, and and you’ll have a good idea of what this attraction experience is like. Throw in some Aerosmith music, a loop, and a corkscrew, and you just might have the most thrilling roller coaster on Walt Disney World property!
Epcot
Soarin’ – There’s nothing quite like the feeling of flying, and Soarin’ brings the magic of flight to life in a way no other attraction can. You’ll have a blast flying over oceans, deserts, mountains, and more! You might even smell the ocean air, pine trees, and orange groves while flying over them in this exhilarating attraction!
Spaceship Earth – An opening day attraction for Epcot in 1981, Spaceship Earth has delighted and amazed Disney fans for over three decades! Take a trip back in time to see the history of our world’s communication in this classic Disney adventure. Featuring some of the most realistic and lifelike audio animatronics in the world, this attraction is one that you will want to experience every time you walk through the Epcot turnstiles!
Magic Kingdom
The Haunted Mansion – 99 Happy Haunts reside in this spooky, worn down, unkempt estate, but there is always room for one more! Perfectly placed in Liberty Square, The Haunted Mansion has been thrilling guests since the park opened in 1971. The attraction is more fun than scary, and it offers some of the best special effects in any Disney attraction in any Disney theme park. After riding, you may even have a ghost follow you home!
Splash Mountain – If you’re looking for the ultimate combination of Disney magic, music, story, and thrills, look no further than Splash Mountain. You will get wet, but you will also have a blast while following along with Brer Rabbit, Brer Fox, Brer Bear, and other memorable characters from Disney’s hard to find classic, Song of the South. Be prepared, you will probably find yourself singing Zip A Dee Doo Dah for the rest of your vacation!
So go make your FastPass+ reservations right now, or better yet, call me at (855) 717-1955 and ask me how I can make all of those reservations for you! I want you and your family to have as much fun as I do with my family at Walt Disney World, and I’ll be more than happy to help you do just that!
