In a move that I’m sure will be very hotly debated for the foreseeable future, Disney has announced that four more restaurants will begin serving alcohol during lunch and dinner service in the Magic Kingdom. Crazily, these changes will go into effect in just a few days on December 19th, 2016.
The Most Magical Place on Earth already has one restaurant that has been serving alcohol with lunch and dinner since it opened in Be Our Guest. That announcement was a bit of a shock to longtime Disney fans when it was confirmed a few years ago. Joining Be Our Guest on December 19th will be Tony’s Town Square, Liberty Tree Tavern, The Jungle Navigation Co. Skipper Canteen, and Cinderella’s Royal Table.
At this time there are absolutely no plans for any outdoor food locations or kiosks to begin serving any alcoholic beverages at all.
So, what do you think about Disney adding more adult beverages to the menus of some of your favorite restaurants? Please let me know in the comments!
*Update:
It seems like just like Be Our Guest, the drinks will be somewhat themed to the locations where they are served. Tony’s Town Square will offer Italian wines and beers. Skipper Canteen will offer alcoholic beverages that pair well with their wide selection of dishes. Cinderella’s Royal Table will serve champagne and sparkling wine.
