My friend Bob Gurr joins me this week to talk about the Disney 100 Exhibit that is currently being featured at the Franklin Institute in Philadelphia. Bob was hired by Walt Disney himself in 1954 and his first job was designing the Disneyland Autopia cars. Bob went on do design multiple attraction vehicles for Disneyland and Magic Kingdom, including the Matterhorn, the Disneyland and Walt Disney World Monorail systems, the Peoplemover and many, many more!
The Disney 100 Exhibit is currently (as of March 2023) on loan at The Franklin Institute in Philadelphia, PA. The many incredible, original, pieces of Disney history on display include original drawings of Mickey Mouse and Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, personal artifacts that were owned by Walt Disney, Disneyland ride vehicles, movie props and costumes and more!
